The National Assembly Health Committee meets in extraordinary session due to the salaries of young doctors  - 1

The Health Committee is meeting in extraordinary session in connection with the salaries of young doctors, the parliament's website states, reports BTA. The committee's meeting is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. in Hall 130 of the National Assembly.

According to the published agenda, the deputies will discuss at first reading four bills for amendments to the Law on Medical Institutions, related to the remuneration of medical specialists. The first was submitted by Tsoncho Ganev and a group of MPs from "Vazrazhdane", the second - with submitters Ivelin Mihaylov and a group of MPs from "Velichy". The third bill was submitted by Assen Vaskov Vasiliev and a group of MPs from "We continue the change-Democratic Bulgaria" and the fourth was proposed by the ruling majority with submitters Kostadin Angelov (GERB-SDF), Ivan Ibrishimov (BSP-United Left) and Andrey Chorbanov (There is such a people).

The proposal of GERB-SDF, – BSP - United Left“ and &ndquo; There is such a people“ is that the salaries of the staff in hospitals, which are financed with funds from the NHIF budget and/or from the state budget, be determined in compliance with the following minimum requirements - basic monthly salary by staff category according to the National Classifier of Professions and Positions, which is no less than that provided for in the current Collective Labor Agreement (CLA) under Art. 51 b of the Labor Code, and in the absence of a concluded collective bargaining agreement under letter „a" - not less than that provided for in the last concluded collective bargaining agreement, increased by the percentage increase in the average gross salary for the country for the period from the end date of its validity to the date of determination of the basic monthly remuneration, calculated on the basis of published official data of the National Statistical Institute.

„We continue the change“ proposed in their bill that the basic monthly salaries of a doctor without a specialty and a master's degree pharmacist without a specialty, working in a hospital or in a complex oncology center, for whom more than 50% of the income comes from the state and/or municipal budget, and from the budget of the National Health Insurance Fund, be no less than 150% of the average gross salary for the country for the last 12 months, for which official data of the National Statistical Institute have been published. The basic salaries of nurses and related specialists should be no less than 125% of the average gross salary for the country over the past 12 months, they propose from “We continue the change“.

In their bill from “Vazrazhdane“, they proposed that the basic monthly salary of a doctor without a specialty and a master's degree pharmacist without a specialty should be no less than 150% of the average gross salary for the country, which is determined based on the last two quarters of the previous year and the first two quarters of the current year, and for healthcare professionals - no less than 140% of the average gross salary for the country, also calculated based on the last two quarters of the previous year and the first two quarters of the current year.

From “Velichye“ proposed in their bill that the starting salary of a doctor be in the net amount of 6,000 leva, of healthcare professionals working in medical institutions be in the net amount of 4,000 leva, and of orderlies and support staff - 1,500 leva. That there should be targeted state funding for the specialization of doctors, tied to the needs of individual medical specialties, is also written into the bill by “Velicie“.
