Repairs to a section of the active lane and the bus stop on Blvd. “Evlogi i Hristo Georgievi“, in the section from Blvd. “Dragan Tsankov“ to the raised pedestrian walkway at the entrance to the National Stadium “Vasil Levski“. This was announced by the Sofia Municipality.
According to information from the municipality, the construction and repair activities are being carried out without completely closing the traffic, in order to ensure normal traffic during the summer season, when lower traffic intensity is expected.
The reason for the repairs is the deteriorated condition of the road surface, with the most serious damage in the area around the public transport stop. The activities are expected to be completed by the end of the week.
As part of the repair, a reinforcing mesh will be laid on a leveling layer of asphalt concrete, milling will be carried out and a new pavement with polymer-modified bitumen will be laid.
After the completion of the current section, repairs will continue on other smaller areas of “Evlogi and Hristo Georgievi“ Blvd., which are also in unsatisfactory condition, add the Sofia Municipality.
