„After Radev's gesture with the euro, the east-west division had come again. This east-west axis flared up and this was convenient for the government, because it made Peevski acceptable, Borisov - calm, and „glued“ PP-DB“, said Parvanov.
“For me, an illegitimate goal is to insist at all costs on changing the government through the streets, and not through elections, which is a circumvention of the democratic procedure and an escape from responsibility, because civic responsibility is realized during elections above all. The idea that we can correct any type of government and overthrow the government through the streets corrupts precisely this participation“, said political scientist Stoycho Stoychev in connection with the protests against the judicial system in our country.
“When there are union demands, when there are demands for justice in specific cases and there is an impression that something has been done unfairly, these protests have grounds and are fair. The question, however, is who is the addressee of these protests, because the judicial system should not be guided by the desires of the street, but by the principles of the legislation“, commented Stoychev.
“The problem is not whether a mayor is very pure and holy – there are no such mayors. Varna is such a business place that it is difficult to become mayor without the support of several business lists, which can then “cook you” so nicely, which is most likely happening right now. Another issue is not to give too much material to cook with“, commented Parvan Simeonov.
“Apparently the PP mayors have heard that this is how this game is played and are trying to get into it, but the others are clearly better at it“, he added.
“But the big question that society is looking for an answer to is whether the others will chase them, cook them, check how they play this game“, Simeonov also commented.
According to him, the political effect of this is a counter-effect for the government, because suddenly the PP-DB has received new life.
“The government is making a classic mistake out of vindictiveness, it seems to me. They live with the thought that they are getting it back. They are also wrong to take comfort in the fact that people have liked them again“, the sociologist commented.
