A fire engulfed about a hectare of dry grass and bushes, north of the military hospital in Sliven. This was announced by Chief Inspector Rosen Georgiev, acting head of the Regional Service “Fire Safety and Population Protection“ (RSPBZN) – Sliven, BTA reported.
The fire broke out around 9:50 p.m. last night (August 1) and was extinguished around 10:30 p.m. by two fire brigade teams, as well as spontaneous volunteers.
The causes are in the process of being established, and it is likely human negligence.
Over the past 24 hours, a case of fire has also been registered in the Sliven municipality in the district of "Nadezhda", where waste was burning. A beauty salon for animals in the center of Sliven also caught fire at around 2:42 a.m. on August 1. The salon was damaged, but the building was saved.
