MFA: The child who died in Greece is not Bulgarian

The 12-year-old child who died in the waters of Greece and his parents are not Bulgarian citizens. This was confirmed to "Focus" by the press center of the MFA.

The official statement:

""According to information from the Consulate General of the Republic of Bulgaria in Thessaloniki, received from the Port Authority of Alexandroupolis, the child and his parents are not Bulgarian citizens".

Earlier today, the Greek media outlet NewsIt reported on a 12-year-old girl from Bulgaria who died. The incident occurred after the child was carried away in an inflatable boat. According to information from Proto Thema, the parents were arrested.
