After a 13-hour hearing, the Court of Appeal in Veliko Tarnovo changed the detention measures for the four defendants in the case of the beating of the director of the police in Ruse and his neighbor, bTV reported.
15-year-old Stanislav Alexandrov is now under the supervision of an inspector from the Children's Pedagogical Room, and the other three - Julien Kyazimov, Kiril Gochev and Viktor Ivanov, are under house arrest.
The prosecutor's office indicated that according to the data from the expert reports and witnesses, it was the minor Stanislav who struck Senior Commissioner Nikolay Kozhuharov twice and caused him bodily harm.
According to his defense, however, he was not even brought as a defendant. In court late yesterday, the prosecution presented new evidence, including the testimony of Senior Commissioner Kozhuharov. However, the youths' defense claims that the documents lack reports from police teams and body camera recordings.
