A cannabis forest was discovered by the Directorate of Drug Enforcement Administration in Pleven. The plantation is linked to the five members of a criminal group for drug distribution arrested by the anti-mafia two days earlier.
During the police operation on September 19, the plantation with hemp plants was discovered in the land of the village of Yasen. An area of about 50 sq. m was established on site, equipped with an irrigation system, a ladder, fertilizers and preparations and other devices necessary for the cultivation of tree-like cannabis plants of various hybrid varieties.
The plants have an average height of 2.50 m, a stem thickness of about 10 - 15 cm, and each of them has many large and well-developed inflorescences. Samples were taken for laboratory testing.
The green mass was destroyed. The actions were carried out jointly with employees of the Regional Directorate of Internal Affairs of Pleven and under the supervision of the District Prosecutor's Office in the city. Pre-trial proceedings have been initiated. The actions are ongoing.
The plantation discovered during the police operations is related to the investigation into the activities of the criminal drug distribution group, five of whose members were arrested by the General Directorate of Drug Trafficking in Pleven and charged by the prosecutor's office two days earlier.
