The private enforcement officer will serve 9 years in prison under an initial strict regime. The verdict was handed down by the District Court in Asnovgrad after an indictment by the prosecutor's office.
The private bailiff was convicted of embezzling large amounts of money from June 11, 2013 to July 16, 2013 in Plovdiv - a total of 660,705 leva, owned by various debtors in enforcement cases.
Today, the magistrates sentenced him to 9 years in prison and deprived him of the right to practice the profession of private bailiff for a period of 10 years, writes "Maritsa".
The case established that as a private bailiff he transferred funds in the amount of 660,705 leva from the special bank account of the private enforcement agent to his own, thereby defrauding the debtors in six enforcement cases in the above-mentioned period.
The verdict is subject to protest and appeal before the District Court in Plovdiv.
