The Plovdiv Municipality building is under police blockade, BNT reports.
Citizens are not allowed to enter the administration, and security personnel and investigators are checking the documentation of the local administration.
The Regional Police Directorate told BNT that they are not participating in the action.
The Mayor of Plovdiv Kostadin Dimitrov has just entered the building and commented that he does not know what is happening and will find out at any moment.
The Deputy Mayor for Construction, Eng. Haki Sakabov, left the municipality building shortly after 9. He was accompanied by a uniformed officer and security personnel. Together they headed to the Party House, where part of the remaining departmental administration is housed.
