A 46-year-old man and a 47-year-old woman were detained for kidnapping in the Smolyan district "Ustovo". Quick proceedings have been initiated against them.
This was announced for BTA by the spokesperson of the Appellate Prosecutor's Office - Plovdiv, Boryana Dimitrova.
The report of the abduction was filed this morning by a man who witnessed the abduction of the woman on the street. Operational-search measures were immediately started by employees of the Directorate of Internal Affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs-Smolyan and the District Prosecutor's Office-Smolyan was notified.
The prosecutor's office indicated that so far it has been established that the victim is 45 years old. She came out of her house and walked down the street. Her path was blocked by two persons - a man and a woman, a family - 46-year-old A.B. and 37-year-old D.B. They pulled the injured woman, who was hit several times on the body, and forced her into a car , brand “Mercedes”, driven by A.B., after which the car drove off in the direction of the village of Bostina, region Smolyan. A little later, the car returned to the place from where it left, and the victim was left on the street again, where she received help from the police.
A. B. and D. B., who are from Karnobat, were detained for up to 24 hours under the Law on the Interior.
The investigation is currently underway. Witnesses are being questioned before a judge in the District Court in Smolyan. Expertises are to be appointed. After the interrogations of established eyewitnesses, the follow-up actions on the investigation will be assessed, respectively the involvement of A.B. and D.B. to criminal liability for kidnapping for the purpose of unlawful deprivation of liberty, as the act was committed by two persons - a crime under Art. 142 para. para. 2, item 2, para. 1 of the Criminal Code, Boryana Dimitrova pointed out.
