Frauds for nearly BGN 100,000 were revealed in Razlog  - 1

A 27-year-old resident of the town of Mizia, presented himself as a credit consultant, was detained during a specialized police operation carried out yesterday by officers of the “Frauds“ in GDNP, RU - Razlog to ODMVR - Blagoevgrad and ODMVR – Vratsa. The man is in custody for fraud committed by him under the pretext of assisting in the granting of cash loans mainly to people with bad credit history.

The joint police work started on a report that in the period of July 30 – On August 29, a resident of Yakoruda was defrauded of BGN 13,200. After a precise analysis of the received information, the officials took procedural actions. In the course of them, the found mobile phones, SIM cards, a large number of receipts for received money transfers, bank cards, documentation, including credit files, flash drives, a portable computer and other items related to the criminal activity under investigation, were confiscated. So far, it has been established that the detainee is the author of at least three frauds, committed on the territory of several regions in the country, with which he caused property damage to the victims in the total value of almost BGN 100,000.

The man was initially detained with a police measure for a period of up to 24 hours. After a report of the materials on the case of a supervising prosecutor from the Territorial Department – Reason for the District Prosecutor's Office – Blagoevgrad, he is brought in as a defendant under Art. 209, para. 1 of the Criminal Code and with a prosecutor's decree, his detention measure was extended to 72 hours. Work on the case continues. According to the available data on the man's involvement in other frauds on the territory of the country, the identification of the victims and the clarification of the overall criminal activity of the accused are yet to come.
