Today, the man was taken to the Sixth RU for a period of up to 24 hours after initial data was obtained that he carried out fictitious cremation of deceased people for a fee.
In the course of the inspection, two such cases were established, and the work of the employees continues under the supervision of the District Prosecutor's Office - Plovdiv, BTV reported.
There was a similar case in the capital as well. The funeral agent Georgi Enev was accused of carrying out a fictitious cremation of 20 deceased. He himself died in September.
Enev was charged with defrauding 19 people in Sofia and Bankia in a period of 5 months in 2022. He gave empty urns to relatives, and the remains of 12 of the deceased who were supposed to be cremated were found buried in a forest near the Bankya cemetery.
