Anxious thoughts haunted the young mother after the second birth - she thought she was not coping well with her two children, writes 24 Chasa.

“I keep thinking I'm not good with kids.” These were the last words of Bilyana Petrova, who disappeared on Tuesday from the Center for Mental Health “Prof. N. Shipkovenski” in the area of Central Halls in Sofia. She was found dead on Wednesday. According to the investigation data, the woman committed suicide. Her relatives claim that she was depressed, overwhelmed by anxious thoughts. Therefore, on Tuesday, medical help had to be called and the young mother had to be taken to the psychiatric dispensary.

The obscurity surrounding 31-year-old Bilyana excited social networks and for hours dozens of people asked where she was. Days before she took her own life, she shared that she was not sure of her abilities as a mother, in front of the godfather of the family, Angel Angelov, learned “24 hours”. (What he told about Bilyana and the family - see below). She told a friend that she was having suicidal thoughts, investigators explained.

The news of Bilyana's disappearance was spread on Tuesday at 17:49 precisely by the godfather Angel Angelov. The sad news that the mother of a 4-year-old girl and an infant had ended her life came Wednesday around noon.

Biljana's body was found in the courtyard of the Romanian Church, not far from the Central Halls. Assuming that the woman jumped from the nearby building, which is located on “Pirotska” 12. The investigation is yet to clarify the details.

On Tuesday, Bilyana was taken by ambulance for treatment at the Center for Mental Health “Prof. N. Shipkovenski” on “Iskar” because of the depressed state she fell into. It was from there that they first reported her disappearance. Shortly after that, her husband Martin Venev also called the police. At that time he was outside Sofia, but as soon as he found out that his wife was not well, he left for the capital.

She was taken to the center without a phone, but with documents and a wallet, Martin told Nova TV.

However, the young mother managed to escape from the psychiatric hospital. There is a porter in the center, but the entrance is free, since there is a day hospital there, examinations, examinations, and prescriptions are issued constantly.

Probably from there, Bilyana headed to the Central Halls, which are nearby. She was last seen in this very busy area. There was no sign of her for hours.

According to the investigators, at some point she entered the building on “Pitotska” 12, which is meters from the halls. Initially, however, the investigators were looking for her in other areas, because one of the cameras caught her going in the direction of the Women's Market, which is also meters away.

How she got back to the 7-story building on “Pirotska” street will be clarified. Cameras from a nearby store show a barefoot woman, as described by Bilyana, entering the building. There are apartments for rent, but there is no evidence that Petrova rented one. By Wednesday evening, it was still unclear from which floor she had jumped. However, when she fell, she landed in the courtyard of the Romanian Church.

The young woman was currently on maternity leave, but before that she had a fairly successful career. She handled finance for an international company. Bilyana was from 7-8 years old with her husband, who is a football referee - an international assistant referee. They dated for a few years before having their first child. The family had no financial problems.

Bibi's disappearance has a backstory - we noticed that she was beginning to sink and sink. She got upset easily, and we gave her courage, she described “24 hours” the events the godfather of the family Angel Angelov. He is the person who first reported the disappearance of the young woman.

“Then we decided that a specialist should intervene. We got a psychiatrist to diagnose her. Already last Sunday, together with her husband Martin, she went for an examination. However, her anxiety increased and when Martin had to leave, he asked a family friend to help look after the children. He didn't want me to leave Bibi alone. This woman spent several days with her. He used to take the big girl, 4 years old, to the garden and bring him back. The two of them brought out the baby together, he added.

On Tuesday, when Bilyana's anxiety intensified and, according to Angelov, it may have turned into a panic attack, the same woman called 112. Angelov also described the events after that - the police found that it was not a case of another type of family a problem. Bilyana was not feeling well mentally. There were no reports of violence. She hasn't shared about one either.

“Finally they called an ambulance - he adds. - This is the reason why she is only wearing pyjamas, a jacket and documents. At first she refuses to get into the ambulance, another family friend of ours comes and assures her that he will accompany her. The two get into the ambulance and go to the psychiatric hospital. A difficult procedure begins there - they say they have a place to accommodate her, but as we are not direct relatives, we cannot make a decision about it. If we refuse, we must sign that we are taking it with us and are responsible. During that time we kept in touch with her husband while he was traveling to Sofia. After assurances that she will not be hospitalized, she understands from the doctors that it is imperative. Just at that moment, while our friend was talking to the doctor, the nurses apparently let her go and she ran outside, Angelov says.

In his words, Bilyana was a devoted mother.

“And the father is like that - he claims. - They love their children, they built a wonderful home. They go on holidays. She looks after them perfectly - cuts them fruit, cooks them only homemade food. He buys special appliances so that everything is well prepared. I have no doubt that she handled her motherly duties perfectly. A very good girl. She was just worried that she wasn't doing well enough.

He looked at them like a textbook, he gave them all his attention. After the first child, she did not have postpartum depression. She was worried, but like any other mother. This time was very different. Her last words to me were: “I still think I am not good with children”. He thought he could do better for them. Apparently these thoughts have deepened and carved a hole in her soul. Her potential placement in the medical institution has totally shaken her spirit.”
