Actor Marius Kurkinski turns 55 today.

He was born as Ivaylo Stoyanov and is also known as a director and musical performer, especially popular with his monologue theater productions, as well as with the songs and music videos “Ti-ri-ri-ram“, “Shu-shu&ldquo ;, “Enough!“ and (together with Irina Florin) “Travel“.

He was born on October 15, 1969 in the city of Novi Pazar. A 12-year-old enters the children's theater studio at the Drama Theater – Varna, and then – in the “Cricket“ theater of the Raykovi brothers.

Graduated acting for drama theater in the class of professor Krikor Azarian and assistants Todor Kolev and Elena Baeva at VITIZ “Krastyo Sarafov“ in 1993 and followed two years of film directing under Professor Georgi Dyulgerov. He has received numerous awards for his acting and production skills. His performances have successfully toured abroad.

He is the author of the feature film “Diary of a Madman“ (1996) based on the story “Notes of a Madman“ of Nikolai Gogol.

As a singer, he released three studio albums in the late 1990s: “Love War” (1996), “We Will Be Happy“ (1997) and “Two“ (1999). He is the author of almost all the lyrics for the songs in them, while the music for the first two is entirely the work of the group “Tibetan Hearts“, and most of the latter – of Petar Dundakov.

In 2007, he received the “Icarus“ for the main male role for the one-man play “Concussion“ by Nikolay Haitov, DT “Nikolai Masalitinov“ – Plovdiv.

In March 2008, he released his solo show “Concussion“ on DVD.

In 2011, he received the “Icarus“ of SAB “for the main male role“ for his roles in the one-man show "Bulgarian Tales", a co-production of the Drama Theater "N. O. Masalitinov“ – Plovdiv and ART I SHOCK.

In 2013, he received the “Icarus“ of the Union of Artists in Bulgaria “for a supporting male role“ for Claudius in “Hamlet” by William Shakespeare, directed by Yavor Gardev, National Theater “Ivan Vazov“.

In 2016, he organized a national tour, where he presented the one-man show “The Black Chicken” according to Nikolay Haitov.

In 2019 and 2020, he went on tour, where he presented the jubilee collective one-man show “Marius 50“, in which he entered roles from 9 of his previous one-man shows.[2]

In December 2020, he returned to the music scene, making a song with the rapper Boro Parvi – “Black glasses“.
