Morse code is a way of transmitting the letters through a manipulator (key ) of the alphabet using long and short signals, conventionally called “dash“ and “point“. It is named after its inventor – the American artist Samuel Morse, who developed it in 1835, transmitted NOVA.
On January 6, 1838, his telegraph system was first demonstrated at the Speedwell Railroad Works in Morristown, New Jersey. The telegraph—a device that used electrical impulses to transmit coded messages over a wire—revolutionized long-distance communication.
A sad fact from his life had a particularly strong influence on Morse. He was not with his wife when she died after giving birth to their third child in 1825. From there, his turbulent life becomes even more restless. His life continues to meander until the moment when with the Morse telegraph and the laying of a cable under the Atlantic comes belated fame and money.
