A re-enactment of a spiritist seance will be held in the "Stalin Center" in Barnaul within the framework of the "Night of the Museums" event, the chairman of the management board of the center Sergey Matasov told TASS.
„We plan to recreate a spiritist seance according to Mikhail Afanasievich Bulgakov. We want to hold the event exactly in the style of the Stalinist 1930s, in this environment and in this style. Bulgakov has a work called “Spiritic seance“. We will use it to re-enact a séance and invoke the spirit of Stalin to convey this atmosphere. “It will be a theatrical performance,”, he said.
Matasov added that everyone is invited to participate. Pre-registration is required - people will be admitted to the performance in groups of 20-25 people. Each reenactment is expected to last about half an hour. “It will be interesting and memorable, we cannot reveal all the details. But Woland's group will be here”, said the Chairman of the Management Board of the Stalin Center.
A total of 102 cultural sites will operate in the region on the night of May 18-19.
The action in Bulgakov's story "Spiritic séance" takes place in a Moscow apartment. First, the participants in the séance evoke the spirit of Napoleon, after which he is replaced by the ancient Greek philosopher Socrates.
