Today the wife of the country's president Rumen Radev, Desislava, celebrates her 55th birthday.
She was born in Burgas on July 9, 1969. She studied at the “Geo Milev“ English High School. Burgas, and then at the University of National and World Economy, majoring in Finance and Credit. He speaks English and Russian.
During his student years, he worked as an assistant to the Minister of Agriculture Rumen Hristov.
He continued his career as an office manager in the television productions Canaletto and Hushove, subsequently he was responsible for public relations at the Bulgarian Music Company.
Later, he became an assistant to the general manager of Heineken Bulgaria.
She worked as a marketing expert in construction hypermarkets “Masterhouse”, Burgas, as a PR and communication manager in the team of Top Communication GmbH (the company organizing the annual world communication forum in Davos, Switzerland – Communication on Top) and as a marketing manager in Foundation “Workshop for civil initiatives“. She was also part of the Manpower Group team.
Since 2011, he has been working in the command of the Air Force of Bulgaria. In 2014, he was responsible for the external and internal communication of the institution. In the same year, Desislava Radeva initiated and promoted an air show of the Air Force, which took place at Vrazdebna Airport, Sofia and gathered over 100,000 attendees. Author and screenwriter of numerous short films for the Air Force.
In 2016, she took an active part in the presidential candidate campaign of her husband Rumen Radev.
In 2017, he established a non-profit association "Living Water of Bulgaria"[2], which performs activities for the public benefit.
From her previous marriage to BSP politician Georgi Svilenski Radeva has a son - Strahil, born in 1997
