The famous festival "San Fermin" in the northern Spanish city of Pamplona ended with seven more people injured during the traditional running of the bulls, NOVA reported.

Today's injuries are minor - bruises and concussions, the TV channel RTVE reported.

A total of 36 participants in this year's edition of the festival were hospitalized, including an Australian and an American.

The running of the bulls begins at 8 a.m. local time with fireworks. Then they release six bulls through the streets that lead to the arena. The route is 800 m long. The streets are filled with thousands of spectators. Some decide to run before the bulls. The celebration can prove fatal if the runners run into the bulls' horns or under their feet. Since 1924, 16 deaths have been recorded during the festival, the last being in 2009.

However, most of the injuries during the event are from collisions between runners trying to avoid the bulls.
