Beyoncé will sing on the final night of the Democratic National Convention in Chicago , the website TMZ reported yesterday, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA.

In the final part of the forum, Vice President Kamala Harris will accept the Democratic Party nomination for the presidential election.

Harris took on Beyonce's song "Freedom" as a campaign song and took to the stage in Chicago on Monday to the sound of her tune.

Beyoncé reportedly gave Harris permission to use her song. The singer has previously supported Democrats, including President Joe Biden in the last presidential election.

In a post before the November 2020 election, Beyoncé posted on “Instagram” photo of himself wearing a Biden-Harris face mask.

The very popular trio “Chix“ (The Chicks) presented a country version of the American national anthem at the Democratic Party convention in Chicago, 20 years after the three singers were rejected by conservatives because of their opposition to the war in Iraq, reported France Press, quoted by BTA.< /p>

The three Texas “chicks”, known in the US for their hits "Goodbye Earl" or "Wide Open Spaces", electrified the Chicago Bulls arena, where attendees waved American flags, a few hours before Kamala Harris' big speech.

The country group formerly known as the "Dixie Chicks" gained attention in the early 2000s by announcing their opposition to Republican President George W. Bush and the Iraq War.

This position made the group persona non grata in the world of country music, and the female performers were sharply criticized by American conservatives, notes AFP.

In 2020, the trio decided to drop “Dixie“ from its name, as it was a nickname given to the Confederate slaveholding South during the American Civil War.

„We want to be in step with our times”, the three musicians wrote on their website in the midst of anti-racist demonstrations in the US.

The performance of “Chix“ fits into a broader desire by Democrats to reclaim a genre of music that is very popular among conservatives.

On Monday, on the first night of the convention, Democratic delegates, activists and volunteers performed dance steps to songs by country artists Jason Isbell and Mickey Guyton.
