Affleck, 52, “is doing well and is very focused” after Lopez filed for divorce, which came after months of speculation that their marriage was on the brink, an anonymous source told People, NOVA reported.
„He thrives when he has work projects. He is also great when it comes to the kids. It does exactly what it wants. He looks very happy. Affleck felt his marriage was over when he first moved into a rented apartment in Los Angeles, separate from the one he shared with Lopez, 55, the source added.
Lopez gave the date of their separation as April 26, when she filed for divorce, citing “irreconcilable differences”.
„You could tell he was upset about it, though. He knew he had let Lopez down. He felt very bad about it. She and Lopez just have very different lifestyles. He realized that he would never be happy with her lifestyle. And he didn't expect her to change,” the source said of Affleck's decision to move out.
Another source adds that Affleck can be “very dark and moody at times,” while “Lopez has a different appreciation for life. She is very grateful for everything”.
Affleck is the father of three children with ex-wife Jennifer Garner: Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12. Lopez has 16-year-old twins Max and Emme with her ex-husband Mark Anthony.
