Bolivian police managed to crack down on poaching channel for rare species of turtles, NOVA reported.
During a routine check in the Amazon jungle in the northern part of the country, a car was searched, in which plastic bags with 11,000 eggs of these marine animals were found.
The police in the city of Trinidad indicate that forest rangers noticed the vehicle hidden in the thick vegetation on the side of the road and immediately carried out the inspection. A 23-year-old woman was arrested on the spot. She has been charged with poaching, illegal possession and transportation of wild animals and rare species.
