The first brain chip patient thanks Musk - 1

Neuralink's first brain chip patient Noland Arbaugh talks about life after the brain implant and his hopes for the future, NOVA reported.

Like many Americans, he had always dreamed of traveling to France and learning the language, but after an accident that left him paralyzed from the shoulders down eight years ago, he didn't think it would be possible... until the the richest man in the world didn't help him by implanting a chip in his brain.

Arbo, 30, received a brain implant in January, and in March Musk posted a video of himself playing online chess, using his mind to control a cursor.

Before the operation, he moved the cursor using a mouth stick, a specialized assistive device used by quadriplegics.

Eight months after brain implant surgery, he is in Paris to open a major speed chess championship.

„Before Neuralink, it was difficult for me to play chess. Now I can lay in bed if I want and play for hours. I don't just use the technology for online games. I am learning French and Japanese," he added.

Meanwhile, the billionaire said about AirPods that Apple will use future models to read minds and use them to show you ads based on what you think.

Apple does have a patent for such a venture, which claims that AirPods could theoretically read signals from the brain, but Apple has tens of thousands of such ideas that it has never used and apparently never will.
