The Bulgarian diplomatic mission in Kiev must be led by a person with a clear and unambiguous position against Russian aggression. Without "but", without "but, the West" and other mainstays of Russian propaganda. And in no case from a person who does not know whose Crimea is Ukrainian - Ukrainian! - and pretends to be a "peace lover", as instead of calling on the aggressor state, Russia, to cease fire and withdraw, he admonishes the victim, Ukraine, that it should stop defending itself.
This commented on "Facebook" Borislav Tsekov.
The Bulgarian ambassador to Ukraine must be a person with a clean past, not a staff officer or a State Security informer. Without MGIMO graduates and similar Soviet incubators for recruiting foreign agents. So that it is clear, at least by external and biographical marks, that he serves Bulgaria, not the Kremlin. Because the vast majority of the composition of the communist secret services swore allegiance to the "great USSR".
I say this because it is imperative to adequately protect the Bulgarian national interest. I don't know if Nikolay Nenchev has the qualities to be an ambassador in a country that is fighting against the Russian invasion. I also do not share a large part of his political positions in domestic politics and collaborationism with the Sorosoids from the Reform Bloc (now PPDB).
But it is certain that it is not "on the other side" at the front. In diplomacy, political appointments are also made, which also demonstrate the corresponding level of commitment of the sending state. To send a former defense minister, and not a politically anonymous diplomatic official from abroad, is a strong signal of solidarity and responsibility.
So, the decision of the Council of Ministers should be supported. And President Radev's resistance... It is clear and not surprising. The war removed many masks and destroyed many false myths about many figures in the public arena (politicians, managers, public figures, analysts and scientists).
