Appellate magistrates saved property next to the Courthouse in Sofia from theft
Martin Bojanov, nicknamed the Notary, threatened a lawyer in a courtroom in Sofia. This happened in a civil case in the Sofia Court of Appeal, which considered a dispute over a large property next to the Courthouse in the capital. The incident happened on April 21, 2017 with the chairman of the court panel, Tsvetko Lazarov.

Backstory
The case is about a massive building on Vitosha Blvd. in the capital. A preliminary purchase and sale agreement between the owner of the property, Mariika Radkova, and the company “Sprint 2002” was presented to the court. Ltd. with manager Nikolay Hristov Atanasov. According to this contract, she sells it for 400,000 leva, of which she received 300,000 leva, and she will take the rest at the conclusion of the transaction in front of a notary. Radkova is adamant that she did not sign this contract and did not receive any money. However, the company filed a lawsuit to declare the preliminary contract final. Before the first instance - the Sofia City Court, several triple graphological examinations were carried out, according to whose conclusions Radkova's signature under the preliminary contract was authentic and she lost the case.
Resistance
The woman hires another lawyer – Maria Koleva, who begins the battle before the second instance - the Sofia Court of Appeal. The defense wants a forensic examination. The expert's conclusion is that Mariika Radkova's signature under the preliminary contract for the sale of her property is not authentic.
On April 21, 2017, the two parties and the experts gathered in the courtroom. Surprisingly, the manager of the company Nikolay Atanasov presents two copies of scandalous documents. One is a promissory note – Atanasov to pay BGN 50,000 to the mother of the judge in the case, and the other is a loan agreement of BGN 20,000, which Atanasov is to return to one of the experts.
Collision
The expert stated to the court that he did not sign the loan agreement. As evidence, he points out that he was not in the country on the date he says the contract was drawn up, and this can be verified with witnesses and cell phone prints. “It is proven that I was absent from the country, I even voted in another country, the elections were on the 26th,”, the expert stated before the court.
The court refuses the company's request to withdraw. “The presented evidence is a photocopy and the present panel considers that it was prepared deliberately for the purpose of the present proceedings, in order to discredit both the judicial panel and the expertise and experts appointed by the court,”, the minutes of the meeting read.
Bozhanov
Just as the case is about to start, a person who is not a party to it calls into the courtroom: “Don't proceed with the case. I have an original loan agreement, but I will not present it”. Then, at the request of the court, the “identity of a person who violates the order in the hall” was removed. It is clear from his identity card that this is Martin Bojanov. He stated before the court that he is a partner in the company that bought “Sprint”. He says that he will not give the court the original loan agreement, because the judge's name was cited in Atanasov's complaint to the State Bank of Ukraine. “How will I present the original to you, Mr. Chairman. I will hand it over to the prosecutor's office and the GDBOP”, Bojanov declares.
Scare
The lawyer of the owner of the property complains that she was not given these documents to familiarize herself with them. As the court deliberates, she asks the expert what it's all about. “Suddenly the gentleman, whom I do not know (points to Martin Bojanov), began to attack me. I felt and have doubts about a threat against me. Everyone in the hall is a witness. I neither know who this person is, nor do I know him, nor have I ever approached him on any occasion. I feel worried at this moment. "I feel a threat to my life," lawyer Maria Koleva told the court. She wants the case to be suspended and the documents to be sent to the prosecutor's office, which will check them, as well as the company “Sprint”.
Interrogate
The court orders that the identity cards of everyone present in the courtroom be photographed, and that no one enter or leave the courtroom. The case is closed and the court recuses itself. “There are circumstances that the competent authorities will determine whether they constitute a crime or not, which is why a group from the SDVR has been called, to which the defendants in the complaint will have to present all the originals that they do not want to present to the court due to doubts that they will be stolen or lost“, the court reasoned.
In the following hours, police officers are questioning everyone who was present in the courtroom.
Subsequently, the case was assigned to another panel of the SAS and it was won by the owner of the property, that is, it was proven that she did not sign a preliminary contract for its sale. Martin Bojanov and Nikolai Atanasov failed to acquire it.
The fog of investigation
The temporary commission for verification of facts and circumstances related to the activities of the group around Martin Bojanov continues to listen to citizens, judges and prosecutors. After the murder of the Notary on January 31 of this year in a closed complex on the territory of the former diplomatic tennis courts in Gorna Banya, it was rumored that the man was a broker in the judicial system. Until now, there is no official information whether he was an associate of the Ministry of the Interior, whether police cars guarded the SS club, where representatives of the judiciary gathered. It is not known how far the investigation in the SGP has reached, based on materials submitted nearly 2 years ago by GDBOP about Bojanov's group.
