The scandalous complex "Historical Park" of the leader of "Velichy" Ivelin Mihaylov continues to accumulate financial problems. In the last year alone, companies related to the MP have received seizures from the NRA for over 2.1 million leva," an investigation by the newspaper "Kapital" shows.
On March 26 of this year, Mihaylov transferred his company "Zadruzhno" EOOD to Yordanka Savova, which bears the name of his mother. This happened just before the company was foreclosed by the National Revenue Agency, NOVA reported.
In parallel, between March 2024 and July 2025, the National Revenue Agency imposed a total of 323 foreclosures on 137 properties owned by Mihaylov's wife, Vasya Mihaylova. The two have been in a fictitious divorce since 2015, but are still related according to documents.
The investigation by "Capital" reveals that part of the park's financing is provided through a consumer loan scheme. Citizens take out multiple loans within two weeks - before the information is reflected in the Central Credit Register, and hand over the funds to the park's management with a promise that it will service the installments.
The result is loans for hundreds of thousands of leva, which have already been declared due. Among the people involved in the scheme is Albena Pekova - the official chairwoman of the "Velichye" party. According to her property declaration, she does not have her own property, but has six consumer loans worth over 160 thousand leva.
Ivelin Mihaylov himself, in his declaration of May 25, 2025, indicates that he owns 12 properties, a motorcycle, bank deposits for 70 thousand leva, shares in six companies and three loans. At the same time, investors in "Historical Park" claim that they cannot get their money back.
"We offered people assets in exchange for the invested funds. However, they want money, and we cannot provide such at the moment," Mihaylov explains in a video clip uploaded to social networks.
In 2023, a temporary parliamentary committee concluded that the park functions as a financial pyramid. SANS and NRA have launched investigations, and a report by the agency, submitted to the deputies, contains data on connections between Mihaylov and Russian services.
The report was sent to the prosecutor's office, along with a classified part with information from SANS. In the meantime, the parliament was dissolved, and "Velichy" entered the current National Assembly after a decision of the Constitutional Court.
While the checks against it continue and the complex is deserted, the future of the project remains unclear - both for the investors and for the people who invested personal funds in it.
