Spartak (Varna) has signed a one-season contract with its new head coach Daniel Morales, Topsport reported. He replaces Nikolay Kirov, who took over Botev (Plovdiv).
The 49-year-old Morales was last in charge of the second division Belasitsa. He has experience in the elite at the head of Botev (Vratsa), and was also an interim coach of CSKA, leading the "army men" to a 0:0 draw with Roma at the "Olimpico" in the Europa League groups.
"The Falcons" continue to work on the selection for the new season. So far, the team has been strengthened with Iliya Shalamanov-Trenkov, Todor Petrov, Ilker Budinov, Jacques Pehlivanov and Saad Mukhachar. Striker Colaco Johnson, whose work visa was being processed for more than five months, is now part of the team.
