Jurgen Klopp, one of the greatest names in modern Liverpool history, has poured out his soul and feelings after learning that his former Anfield player Diogo Jota and his brother Andre have passed away. The two found their deaths this morning in Spain after crashing their Lamborghini.
"This is a moment I struggle with. There must be a bigger reason, but I don't see it. My heart is broken to hear about the deaths of Diogo and his brother Andre. Diogo was not only a fantastic player, but also a wonderful friend, a loving and caring husband and father. We will miss you so much. All my prayers, thoughts and strength go out to Ruth, the children, the family, their friends and everyone who loved him. Rest in peace - love," the German wrote on Instagram.
Klopp brought Jota to Liverpool in September 2020 from Wolverhampton for 44 million euros. Under his leadership, the Portuguese played for 4 years before the specialist left the club.
Darwin Nunes was the first of the teammates of the late Diogo Jota to comment on the Portuguese's death. Now the Uruguayan has gathered strength and come out to share that he will always remember him with his smile.
"There are no words to comfort against so much pain. I will always remember you with your smile, as a good company on and off the pitch. "I send all my strength to his family, who will always be with him, especially his wife and three children," Nunes wrote on Instagram.
The two played together for 3 years, after Jota arrived at "Anfield" in the summer of 2020, and Nunes in 2022.
