A Ukrainian drone attack has set fire to a large oil depot on the Russian-annexed Ukrainian peninsula of Crimea, DPA and TASS reported, quoted by BTA.

The drone hit the facility in the city of Feodosia at night, causing a fire, according to the Russian-appointed leader of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov. There are no reports of casualties so far.

According to reports, more than 20 drones have been shot down over Crimea. Yesterday, the Russian Defense Ministry reported that it had intercepted 37 drones over several Russian regions, the Black Sea and the Sea of Azov.

The same storage facility was damaged last year by a Ukrainian drone attack.

Ukraine has repeatedly struck fuel facilities behind the front lines as part of its strategy to disrupt Moscow's supply chains.

Yesterday, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said that in the past week alone, Russian forces have launched over 3,100 drones, 92 missiles and about 1,360 cruise missiles against Ukraine.

Odessa has been massively attacked by over 20 drones from the Black Sea, reported on "Telegram" the city's mayor, Gennady Trukhanov.

Drones are flying in all areas of the Black Sea city.

The sirens were activated at 00.41, adds a BTA correspondent from Odessa.

Local authorities are urging residents to stay in bomb shelters until the alarm is lifted.

US President Donald Trump has warned Russia that he may send long-range Tomahawk missiles to Ukraine if Moscow does not resolve the conflict soon – which suggests he may be ready to increase pressure on Vladimir Putin's government, the Associated Press notes.

"I might say, "Look, if this war isn't settled, I'm going to send them a "Tomahawk", Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One en route to Israel. "Tomahawk" is an incredible weapon, a very offensive weapon. And frankly, Russia doesn't need it.".

"I might tell them that if the war isn't settled, it's very possible that we will do it," he added. "We may not do it, but we may do it. I think it's appropriate to raise the issue."

Trump made the statement after his call with his Ukrainian counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy yesterday. The US president said he had raised the possibility of sending a "Tomahawk" during the conversation.

""Do they want us to send a "Tomahawk" there? I don't think so," Trump said of Russia. "I think I might talk to Russia about that."

Trump made his remarks after Russia attacked Ukraine's power grid the previous night as part of an ongoing campaign to cripple Ukraine's energy infrastructure before winter. Moscow also expressed "extreme concern" about the possibility of the US providing Ukraine with "Tomahawk" cruise missiles.

Putin himself has previously said that the delivery of long-range missiles to Ukraine by the US would seriously damage relations between Moscow and Washington.

For his part, Zelensky described his last conversation with Trump as "very productive".

In recent weeks, Trump has taken a much tougher stance towards Putin after the Russian leader refused to engage in direct negotiations with Zelensky to end the conflict, the AP notes. Last month, Trump announced that he now believes that Ukraine can regain all the territories lost to Russia - a dramatic change compared to the Republican's repeated calls for Kiev to make concessions to end Russia's war in Ukraine. But the US president, at least so far, has resisted Zelensky's calls for a "Tomahawk".

"I really think Putin would look great if he got this sorted out," Trump added. "It wouldn't be good for him" if he didn't, the US president added.
