King Charles III and his wife, Queen Camilla, said they were shocked by the attack on a train in England, in which 11 people were injured.
“My wife and I were shocked and horrified to learn of the horrific knife attack that took place in Cambridgeshire last night. We offer our deepest condolences to all those injured and their families. We are grateful to the emergency services for their response to this terrible incident“, the royal couple said in a statement released by Buckingham Palace.
The attack took place on the evening of November 1 on a train traveling from Doncaster in northern England to London. The incident occurred approximately 10 minutes after the train left the Peterborough platform. British Transport Police arrested two men on suspicion of attempted murder after the train stopped at Huntingdon platform. Law enforcement is not treating the attack as a terrorist attack. Two of the injured are in a critical condition.
