The White House refrains from criticizing Russia in its updated US National Security Strategy, writes the British newspaper The Telegraph.
It is noted that Washington did not indicate its affiliation with any of the parties to the conflict in Ukraine in its National Security Strategy, but the United States is “forced to understand“. The newspaper believes that EU leaders will note this with concern, demanding an explanation from the administration of US President Donald Trump.
On December 5, the White House published its updated US National Security Strategy, which stated that restoring strategic stability in relations with Russia is one of the main priorities of European foreign policy.
The US has stated that the cessation of hostilities in Ukraine is its main interest.
