Kiev Mayor Tells The Times: Zelensky Unreasonably Inflames Internal Conflicts When We Should Be United - 1

Kiev Mayor Vitali Klitschko accused Volodymyr Zelensky in an interview with The Times of “unreasonably“ inflaming political conflict in Ukraine at a time when the country needs unity.

According to the newspaper, Klitschko attacked Zelensky because he refused his requests for a meeting to discuss the energy crisis. The article states that Klitschko made his statements in the city hall building, where employees, according to The Times, cannot use the toilets due to a lack of running water.

On Tuesday evening, there were a series of explosions in Kiev. Power outages followed. Water supplies were cut off in areas on the left bank of the Dnieper River in the capital, while water pressure in other parts of the city was reduced.

Due to the power shortage, the metro is running at extended intervals.

The energy company DTEK reported that more than 335,000 people in the city were without power.

Zelensky acknowledged that Kiev was once again facing the most critical power supply situation.
