Four men were killed last night in a US military strike on a vessel in the Caribbean Sea carrying suspected drug traffickers, the US military said, quoted by DPA.
The US Southern Command (SOUTHCOM) said that “four male narco-terrorists“ were killed in a “lethal kinetic strike“ on a vessel that the US says “traveled on known drug trafficking routes in the Caribbean Sea and was involved in drug trafficking operations“.
In recent months, US President Donald Trump has repeatedly ordered strikes on vessels in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific, citing efforts to stop cross-border drug trafficking.
Critics say the deadly strikes in international waters violate international law. Officials say more than 130 people have been killed.
