Spain announced the reopening of its embassy in the Iranian capital Tehran as part of a broader diplomatic initiative aimed at supporting peace in the context of ongoing tensions between the US, Israel and Iran, quoted by News.bg.
The decision was confirmed by Foreign Minister José Manuel Álvarez, who indicated that the aim is to use all possible diplomatic channels to achieve peace, including by restoring a permanent presence on Spanish territory in Iran.
Álvarez stressed that this approach reflects Spain's commitment to actively participate in international efforts to de-escalate and build stability in the region directly from the ground.
He announced that he had ordered the Spanish ambassador in Tehran to return and resume his activities, specifying that with the reopening of the mission, the country seeks to contribute to the peaceful settlement of the conflict through all possible diplomatic means.
