Israel's Defense Minister, Yoav Galant, said preparations to respond to any possible developments related to Iran's actions are complete, Reuters and BTA reported.
The announcement was made by the minister's office after his participation in a meeting "for an operational assessment of the situation", which was attended by representatives of the high military command.
"After the assessment, Minister Gallant emphasized that the Department of Defense has completed preparations to respond to any possible scenario that could develop with regard to Iran,", they added.
Iran has threatened to respond to an alleged Israeli strike in Damascus that killed seven members of Iran's Revolutionary Guard, including a senior commander.
Israel did not confirm that it was behind the attack, but representatives of the Israeli political leadership said more generally that Israel was acting against Iran, which supports radical groups such as "Hamas" in Gaza and "Hezbollah" in Lebanon - both groups have been fighting Israel for the past six months.
The US is also preparing for a possible Iranian strike on US or Israeli assets in the region.
