Progress has been made at talks in Cairo to reach a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, with all parties involved agreeing on the main points, Egypt's government-linked Al-Qahera News TV reported, citing a senior Egyptian official. source, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA.

On Sunday, Israel and “Hamas” sent delegations to Egypt to discuss a possible truce in the six-month conflict.

None of the parties has confirmed the claims in the information of “Al Qahera News”.

According to the television, the delegations of “Hamas” and Qatar have left Cairo and will return within two days to negotiate the terms of the final deal, while the Israeli and US delegations will leave the Egyptian capital within hours.

On Sunday “Hamas“ reiterated that their demands include a permanent ceasefire, the withdrawal of Israeli troops from Gaza, the return of refugees and the exchange of Palestinian prisoners for Israeli hostages held in the Strip.

The war broke out after fighters of “Hamas“ invaded across the border on October 7 and killed 1,200 people in southern Israel. More than 250 people were kidnapped in the attack, of which about 130 remain captive.

Over 33,100 Palestinians were killed during the Israeli offensive in Gaza, according to the Health Ministry.

Meanwhile, early this morning, two security sources told Reuters that an Israeli strike on the village of Al Sultaniya in southern Lebanon killed three people, including a field commander of the elite forces of “Hezbollah” “Raduan“.
