The level of the Ural River in Orenburg rose overnight by almost 50 cm and reached 965 cm, TASS reported, quoted by BTA.
Hydrologists predict a rise of 30-70 cm in the next 24 hours, the first deputy mayor of the city, Alexey Kudinov, told journalists.
"The night was very restless, the level of the Urals is rising, during the night it rose by almost 50 cm. Currently, this morning it is 965 cm. Hydrologists give a forecast that the Urals will rise, we predict that in the next In 24 hours, it will rise by another 30 to 70 cm," said Kudinov.
