Yitzhak Herzog: Iran's nuclear program poses the greatest threat to the world - 1

Israeli President Yitzhak Herzog warned about the danger of Iran's nuclear program, pointing out , that it poses the greatest threat to the world, reported DPA, quoted by BTA.

"It is clear that the biggest threat to stability in the world is Iran's desire to acquire a (nuclear) bomb," Herzog said in an interview with Germany"Bild", which he gave at his residence in Jerusalem. He called on the "free world" for common actions even "and to fight if necessary". The Israeli president warned that a policy of concessions towards Iran should not be pursued.

Herzog said his country was acting "responsibly" and that it seeks "peace and stability," without commenting on Friday's attack on military sites in the Islamic Republic attributed to Israel. "The Game of Chess in World Politics" it is often associated with "responsible behavior and restraint,", the Israeli leader pointed out. "This is what we did during the crisis,", he emphasized.

The Israeli head of state expressed skepticism about imposing more sanctions on Iran. "At the end of the day, we shouldn't be stupid or naive," Herzog said. According to him, Iran works tirelessly against Western civilization and seeks to expand its influence in the region, while spreading terror and hatred around the world. "We must be aware of this," the Israeli president said, adding that thousands of innocent civilians in Ukraine had been killed by Iranian drones.

Herzog called on all Europeans to finally wake up to "the real danger to stability in the world" , which represents the "evil empire" led by Iran. It must be fought with the existing NATO coalition, the Israeli president added in his interview with "Bild".
