Local regional governor Oleg Sinegubov wrote in Telegram that Russian missiles hit residential buildings and injured six people this morning in Kharkiv, Reuters and BTA report.

According to Sinegubov, the attack affected three residential buildings, two offices, three non-residential buildings and a gas pipeline in the central part of the city. At least 568 windows and 33 cars were damaged.

Ihor Terekhov - the mayor of Kharkiv, told Ukrainian television that two S-300 missiles were used in the attack, which did not cause significant destruction in residential areas.

Russian news agency RIA Novosti reported, citing anonymous sources in the Russian armed forces, that the attack hit military bases in Kharkiv where Ukrainian servicemen were stationed. This information could not be verified by an independent source, Reuters noted.

Terekhov said that work to restore the gas pipeline continues as the city rushes to restore gas to the affected part of the city this morning.
