The spokeswoman for the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs Maria Zakharova said that the NATO exercises, which will begin on April 26 in Finland, in the immediate vicinity of the Russian-Finnish border are provocative in nature, reported Reuters and BTA, referring to information in the Russian state agency RIA.
„NATO military exercises near the Russian borders are provocative in nature. Their task is to exert military pressure on the Russian Federation through a show of force," Zakharova said.
„The Teachings… increase the risk of possible military incidents”, the spokeswoman added.
