Over 1,000 people took part in an Islamist rally in the German city of Hamburg - 1

More than 1,000 demonstrators last night responded to a call by Islamists to organize a rally in Hamburg, some of them carrying placards reading "Caliphate is the solution"; or "Germany - a dictatorship of values", reported DPA, quoted by BTA.

They protested in the St. Georg district against alleged Islamophobic policies and a media campaign in Germany. The peaceful rally was secured by a large contingent of police. According to the authorities, 1,100 people participated in the event.

The organizers are affiliated with the group "Muslim Interactive" (Muslim Interaktiv), which is classified as extremist by Hamburg's Office for the Protection of the Constitution, which is the local branch of Germany's domestic intelligence service.

The organizers repeatedly called on the demonstrators to chant "God is great".

Speakers accused politicians and the media of "cheap lies" and "scary reporting", the purported purpose of which is to brand all Muslims in Germany as Islamists, amid the war in Gaza.

At the end of October "Muslim Interactive" also organized a demonstration in St. Georg, although he was banned from doing so. In February 2023, the group mobilized 3,500 people for a rally against Koran burning in Sweden.
