Information appeared on social networks about the alleged transfer of decommissioned military aircraft from Kazakhstan to the needs of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (VSU) does not correspond to reality. This is stated in a message on thesite of the Kazakh state enterprise "Kazspecexport".
"The information spread on the Internet does not correspond to reality. All auctions for the sale of aviation equipment with the condition of mandatory liquidation were conducted by the enterprise in strict accordance with the requirements of the current legislation among legal entities of the Republic of Kazakhstan that have the relevant licenses issued by the authorized body. Foreign companies were not allowed to trade”, the announcement noted.
According to the company, the equipment recycling process is fully controlled by balancers. “In accordance with the terms of the concluded agreements, all aircraft, components and assemblies for them will be destroyed on the territory of the balance holders by cutting (cutting, shredding) and other methods that exclude their restoration to their original state, and will be transported by the territory only in the form of non-ferrous metal scrap“, explained Kazspecexport.
According to the portal stopfake.kz, a message is circulating on social networks and some websites that a person who wished to remain anonymous allegedly bought in Kazakhstan decommissioned military aircraft to transfer them to the Ukrainian Armed Forces for spare parts. The report also mentions that in October 2023, Kazakhstan auctioned 117 decommissioned Soviet fighters and bombers. This information is provided to Kazspetsexport.
