The leadership of the French Institute for Political Studies "Sianz Pau" announced that its main buildings in Paris will remain closed today, due to a new occupation of the campuses by students mobilized in support of the Palestinian cause, reported Agence France-Presse, quoted by BTA.
"As a result of the occupation voted by the students, the buildings at the address: st. "Saint Guillaume" #25, 27, 30 and "Saint Pere" #56, will remain closed on Friday, May 3. We invite you to work remotely," says the message sent by the "Human Resources" department. of "Sianz Po".
After the internal debate on the Middle East yesterday morning, which the students described as "disappointing but not surprising", yesterday afternoon the students of the Palestine Committee in the "Sean Po" announced that they had begun a "peaceful sit-in strike" in the college hall and that six students have started a hunger strike "in solidarity with the Palestinian victims".
Last night, the occupation of the campus was voted by about a hundred students in a general assembly, a member of the Palestinian Committee, who did not give his name, told AFP.
The hunger strikes will continue until "a formal, non-anonymous vote is held by the Institute for Policy Studies board to investigate the partnership with Israeli universities," another member of the Palestinian Committee told AFP.
