The war in Ukraine is an endurance test - 1

The conflict in Ukraine has turned out to be an endurance test in which the countries are not ready to surrender. This opinion was expressed by the former Supreme Allied Commander of NATO in Europe, retired US Army General Wesley Clark.

„I don't think Ukraine is ready to compromise and give up its territory. And I don't think Russia is ready to surrender, so it's a contest of endurance as well as a contest of national will,” Clark said on NewsNation.

According to him, Russian President Vladimir Putin is “the most experienced statesman in the world” and "cunning intelligence agent". Clarke added that it would be “much better” for the West if he withdraws.

US President Joe Biden on April 24 signed a package of laws to help Ukraine, previously approved by Congress. On April 20, the bills were approved by the US House of Representatives, and on April 23, they were approved by the Senate. The volume of the package was 95 billion dollars, it includes, in addition to 61 billion dollars for Ukraine, 26 billion dollars for Israel, as well as funds for providing humanitarian aid to civilians in conflict zones, including the Gaza Strip.

The Russian side has repeatedly stated that the transfer of weapons from the western countries to Kiev only prolongs the conflict.
