Pyongyang: The enemy is doomed to self-destruction

North Korea's Permanent Representative to the United Nations Kim Son said today, that the efforts of the United States and other Western countries to form new groups of observers to observe the compliance with sanctions imposed on Pyongyang is doomed to failure, reported Reuters, quoted by BTA, referring to the North Korean state agency KCTA.

Reuters said Kim's words came in response to a joint statement by the US and its allies this week calling for the continued work of the UN panel of experts monitoring sanctions imposed on Pyongyang over its nuclear and missile programmes.

Reuters recalls that in March Russia vetoed a UN resolution on monitoring compliance with sanctions imposed by the international organization on North Korea because of its nuclear program.

"Hostile forces may form a second and a third expert group in the future, but over time they are doomed to self-destruction," Kim Son said, according to the KCTA's information.
