Students at Oxford and Cambridge universities set up tent protest camps on university campuses. In this way, they are protesting against the war in Gaza, reported DPA, quoted by BTA.

A similar protest tent camp was also set up at the Graduate School of Oriental and African Studies in London.

In a joint statement, the initiators of the Oxford and Cambridge protest said they could not accept their universities' "complicity in Israeli war crimes against the Palestinian people". Protesters are demanding that the two universities disclose their professional and financial ties to Israel and disassociate themselves from Israel-related organizations.

Protest tent camps and occupation of universities in protest against the war in Gaza are in the US, Canada, Mexico, France, Australia, and in places the police intervened to clear the camps.

At the same time, Columbia University in New York canceled its main graduation ceremony for students after a wave of pro-Palestinian protests on its campus, Reuters reported.

Cancellation is for security reasons. A smaller event will be held instead of the big ceremony. Typically, the main graduation ceremony at the university is attended by over 50,000 guests.

As reported by the electronic site of the "Kurir" newspaper, quoted by BTA, a spontaneous rally this evening brought the Viennese police to their feet... A protest camp "For Palestine" was also formed. in front of the main university of Vienna. As can be seen from videos on social networks, the protesters have pitched tents.

Another group of protesters is moving towards the Old Hospital complex, whose buildings are located in a large park not far from the university. Police spokesman Markus Dietrich has confirmed that the police are already with the protesters. According to her, there were about 100 people on the territory of the university. They waved Palestinian flags and chanted loudly.

Behind the action is the "Palestinian Solidarity Camp in Vienna". The group posted relevant appeals and videos showing the construction of the tented camp.
