The Romanian authorities renewed the search for three sailors who disappeared in the Black Sea after the sinking of a cargo ship, NOVA reported.
The vessel “Mohamed Zet”, sailing under the Tanzanian flag, was hit by another vessel in Romanian waters - in the Tulcea district. 8 crew members were rescued. The shipwreck happened on Saturday morning.
At this stage it is assumed that “Mohammed Zet” sank after being hit by the ship "Mitchell". Today it docked at the port of Varna with visible damage to the hull. The captain admitted to a collision at sea. This included the Bulgarian authorities in the investigation. “The ship was inspected this morning. Already upon arrival, it was found that there were structural violations on its nose. We now have a report from the captain who categorically states that he is the vessel involved in this incident. From now on, the investigative bureaus will collect additional information, explained the head of the Maritime Administration. - Varna Capt. Valentin Enchev.
