The British Parliament was officially dissolved today ahead of the elections on July 4th, reported France Presse1 quoted by BTA.
The main opposition force, the Labor Party, is expected to defeat the ruling Conservatives for more than a decade.
The House of Commons was dissolved at 0:01 am (2:01 am Bulgarian time) today following Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's surprise decision last week to call an election. Now begins the election campaign to fill the composition of the 650-seat lower house of the British Parliament.
The first meeting of the House of Municipalities after the elections will take place on July 9.
