Erdogan also welcomed the Turkish parliament's decision to condemn the Israeli attacks in the town of Rafah, saying the decision was “extremely valuable”.
Regarding the situation in the Palestinian territories, he stated that Turkey has sent over 55,000 tons of humanitarian aid to the region.
On May 26, Israel carried out an airstrike against a camp for displaced people in the town of Rafah. The Palestinian Islamist movement "Hamas" Gaza health authorities said at the time that 45 people had been killed and dozens wounded.
According to the latest figures from the Palestinian health authorities, more than 36,000 people have been killed in Gaza since Israel launched a military operation in the enclave in response to the “Hamas” on October 7 in southern Israel, killing 1,200 people and taking 250 hostages.
Israel continues its offensive against Gaza despite a UN Security Council resolution demanding an immediate ceasefire.
