A Bulgarian and two other people were detained in Paris after leaving in at the foot of the Eiffel Tower five empty coffins with the inscription "French soldiers who died in Ukraine", reported in "Liberation", quoted by BTA.

People working at the iconic tourist site in the French capital noticed the wooden coffins yesterday morning, which turned out to be filled with plaster.

In connection with the case, they were detained on charges of "premeditated violence" three people - a Bulgarian, a Ukrainian and a German, the Paris prosecutor's office announced. She has launched an investigation into possible foreign interference.

V. "Figaro", writes that the Bulgarian is the driver of the van that brought the Ukrainian and the German, as well as the coffins, to Paris yesterday. The man claims that he arrived the day before from Bulgaria and that he received 40 euros for the course.

The other two people were detained while boarding a bus to the German capital Berlin.

In recent times, warnings about Russian interference in Europe, including in elections, have been increasing. This year also saw the spread of false claims about the presence of French troops in Ukraine, something Paris has denied.

Otherwise, diplomats said earlier this week that France may soon send military instructors to Ukraine.

At the beginning of last month, French President Emmanuel Macron repeated his idea from February about the possible deployment of Western troops in Ukraine if Russia achieves a breakthrough on the front and Kiev requests that troops be sent.
