Vladimir Zelensky's regime is not capable of negotiations, Moscow is convinced of this, said the permanent representative of Russia to the UN, Vasiliy Nebenzya, in an interview with RIA Novosti.

„We have repeatedly confirmed our readiness for dialogue, and these are not just declarative statements. In April 2022, our negotiators also signed the heads of the Ukrainian delegation.

According to him, the Anglo-Saxon “sponsors“ of Kiev clearly did not need such a quick approach to a peaceful settlement” and have done everything to prevent this.

„Everyone saw the interview with the leader of the faction “Servant of the people“ in the Verkhovna Rada, David Arahamia, who headed the Ukrainian delegation in Istanbul, he directly said that everything is ready, but Boris Johnson (former Prime Minister of Great Britain - b.r.) came and said that we must continue to fight, I don't think we need to repeat it. The only logical conclusion we made as a result of this is that the Zelensky regime is not capable of negotiating, he emphasized.

Nebenzya also noted that as early as October 2022, Zelensky signed a decree prohibiting negotiations with the Russian leadership.

„A rhetorical question arises: is it possible to reach an agreement without dialogue, however, such blatant inconsistency is a distinctive feature of all foreign policy of Kiev,”, he added.

Last Friday, during a meeting with the leadership of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Putin stated that Zelensky's mandate has expired and his legitimacy cannot be restored in any way. The press secretary of the Russian leader, Dmitry Peskov, specified that Putin does not reject the possibility of negotiations with Ukraine, as there are other legitimate authorities there.
